Tales from the Corruption Circus
Blame the babu, blame the tycoon!
Blame the ringmaster, blame the buffoon!
There is a Corruption Circus in your town
Everyone who was up is now pulled down
When you are in trouble there’s democracy
When you are not there’s bureaucracy
To do your bidding, at your beck and call
Come winter, spring or summer or fall
If they don’t play ball, or show some gall
Transfer them fast, or push them to the wall
File a chargesheet and show who’s smart
if you see a whistleblower or a braveheart
If the Army stands up and shows some spunk
Turn the heat on and make them funk
Leak some stories, and blame the press
Make it confusing — so no-one can guess
Be it Spectrumgate, Coalgate, this gate and that
Chase the minions, leave out the fat cat
Everyone’s in trouble, everyone’s in the net
But not the members of the Union Cabinet!
