From here to paternity

He fell, he rose like the Phoenix
Having mastered the art of politics
But fate had its own terms
In stories told by his sperms
that carried his tell-tale Double Helix

We can ask: Dear sire, Mr. T
Why did this take an eternity?
Much as we desired
To know whether you sired
There was a long wait to know of your paternity

Kids are so common in our land
As if they are done with magic wands
Famous for population
And its causal copulation;
we are smart in running nightly errands

So why, pray, one hides a wife or mistress
Such as to cause legal distress
Until test tubes affirm
The nature of the sperm
for TV to scream en-route to the press?

It could be that the selfsame leader
Was never famous as a breeder
And so invited this case
To save honour and face
To show he can be a worthy seeder

Accusations flew in the long past
On his potence doubts were cast
This episode of the test
Will put them to rest
And our gent may’ve got justice at last!
