Last week Ram Niwas Mirdha died. He was a senior Congress politician, a former Minister and Chairman Sangeet Natak Akademi (SNA). The last is thanks to eminent but controversial dancer Sonal Mansingh. Had she continued as Akademi’s Chair, Mirdha would never have made it.
