Some months ago, I read a news item on Prateek, now an upcoming actor. Of course, he was referred to as Prateek Babbar after his father and film actor-turned-politician Raj Babbar. I refrain from attaching ‘Babbar’ to his name because I know him and see him as his mother’s son: late Smita Patil. She died when Prateek was barely 14 days old.
