Last week Union Information Minister Ambika Soni hosted a lunch at her official residence Akbar Road. She keeps her house well and personally looks after her guests. That afternoon she had a mix of politicians, journalists and film stars. Last week Ram Niwas Mirdha died. He was a senior Congress politician, a former Minister and Chairman Sangeet Natak Akademi (SNA). The last is thanks to eminent but controversial dancer Sonal Mansingh. Had she continued as Akademi’s Chair, Mirdha would never have made it.
