One Nos. Happy Person
I’ve gotta new book.
No big deal, you may think. I’ve always got a new book.
But this one is by Ranjit Lal!!!!!!
(See ancient picture of me on the opening page of my blog. Take felt pen and draw big fat smile on my mug, with lots of teeth. That’s how I look today.)
So. This book is called Taklu and Shroom. According to the blurb, Taklu is a young man whose precious dog was gunned down by the Prime Minister’s security, and who has since shaved his head and is out for vengeance. And Shroom is the Prime Minister’s grand-niece, recovering from cancer and still as bald as a mushroom, who is totally into secret service lore and is thrilled to meet Taklu, a fellow baldie. But Taklu wants revenge.
I’ve just about begun the book (started it in the cab on the way to work) and it is classic Ranjit Lal – well-written and engaging. Today’s a working day and I have to go out tonight, so I won’t be able to read more of it till tomorrow.
But still.
I am one nos. happy person. I have a new Ranjit Lal.

Please read an article by Vir Sanghvi, ” We are NOT the same people…”
Excellent stuff in which he dissects why India is different from you Pakistanis and unless you renounce, murder, terror and cheating, we shoudl not talk to you.
Please remembet that to maintain blog digninity and dont convert this forum too into a Hindu bashing circus.
Anyway welcome back from muridke
