I know it’s a bit late to talk about it (the film released last week) but I just saw Dil Bole Hadippa and if there’s one thought I left the theatre with, it is this: Shahid Kapur will go places. More precisely, places only the Big Two (Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan) have gone till now. In his generation, if there’s one actor who has the potential to become a superstar, it is Shahid Kapur. I am really happy Ashutosh Gowariker is picking up so many Best Director and Best Picture awards for Jodha Akbar. I loved the film – surprisingly. Not because I don’t like Ashutosh’s work: I absolutely and totally and unreservedly love Lagaan (I would rate it right up there, as one of the all-time greats of Hindi cinema), and I thought Ashutosh extracted one of Shah Rukh’s career-best performances in Swades.
